Abstract photography is difficult to define. Abstract photographers almost try and trick our eyes and minds into not being able to easily understand what theyre looking at. Typically photographs are representations of the real world but abstract images take things in.

Most commonly abstraction takes place when a photographer focuses in on a fragment of a natural scene isolating it from its context. Abstraction in general is a process by which some information is carefully eliminated leaving the parts that deemphasize the object-photograph relationship. They can encompass a huge variety of subject matter take us out of our comfort zone make us question what we see or invite us to enter another realm.
